The Review: I love this time of year for its bright, sunny covers and incidentally I’m thrilled to have the above bright beacon at the moment because yet again, it is lashing rain here as I write this post! I settled into this cosy romance quickly, with the story of Samantha, who, in one scone crushing moment, has all of her expectations for the future change.

I enjoyed the move to Little Penham with Sam coming across a range of characters. The setting was perfect for the drama we regularly met and I loved meeting Cade, and finding out why he was seen as such a bad boy, whilst getting to know him. There was so much homeliness in this book it made me want to dance, and I savored the warmth and romance. I’ll admit not all the characters were my cup of tea, but the village was, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story with its ups, downs and in betweens. Thanks so much to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review.

  1. Thank you for the lovely review and having grown up in a small village myself I know that definitely not all the inhabitants are charming and friendly 🙂
