The Review: “Chick Lit with a kick” is how I see this is described in the author’s bio below, and my gosh isn’t it! This was a book that I sat down to one evening and absolutely devoured, my eyes never able to move away from the page. There’s the usual list of characters, although now we get to know some that little bit more (I had always been waiting to properly get to know Titch and find out about her backstory so was thrilled to get to it!!!).
I’ll admit I didn’t always get on with some of the characters in the book, but I did enjoy their journeys. The drama comes hard and fast as always (as always it kind of reminds me of a soap in literary form!) and with it we get an emotional journey but with tinges of humour too and a fantastic setting. A very enjoyable read and one that will be perfect for lazy days over the Summer. Thanks so much to Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review.
