The review: I doubt that any blogger is starting this tour without commenting on that cover. Isn’t it something? I know Daisy James is synonymous with gorgeous covers but I actually keep flicking back up to appreciate how lovely this one is.
But back to the task in hand. This is the story of Izzie who, to start with, sounds like the sort of cook I am, and is flailing. I have to admit I was a bit confused as to whether she could cook or not, when she started speaking of the glorious Tuscan cooking school and we learned that she was going there and we were to be treated to Christmas there too, but I soon forgot as we landed there, not in the sun as both myself and Izzie had imagined, but in the snow!
There was a range of characters when we arrived, and preparations underway for a concert. I found one of the characters involved awful (as he was meant to be) but when some incidents occurred, I was up for Izzie investigating.
This was a lovely book, with beautiful, grand descriptions of settings that were spellbinding and food that was mouth-watering. The detective work (and drama) was innocent and easy going, the romance warm and comforting, the language and festiveness twinkly. All in all I’d say if this sounds like your type of read go back to the start of the series and enjoy! (And as an aside, I’m definitely trying the recipes at the back of the book!) Thanks so much to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for allowing me to be part of this blog tour and the book in return for an honest review.

About the author
Daisy James is a Yorkshire girl transplanted to the north east of England. She loves writing stories with strong heroines and swift-flowing plotlines. When not scribbling away in herpeppermint-and-green summerhouse (garden shed), she spends her time sifting flour and sprinklingsugar and edible glitter. She loves gossiping with friends over a glass of something pink and fizzy or indulging in a spot of afternoon tea – china plates and teacups are a must.
