The Review: There’s certain words that sell a book to me- comedy, of course, hilarious, kooky, quirky, madcap and zany being, well most of them, actually!
And so when I saw the final word here, and the description, of a book with many different characters all interconnected, well bam! I was all in!
Our story begins with a bus driver rising from bed at an ungodly hour and wondering where it all went wrong, with a wife more than willing to get rid of him every morning, and the excitement for life and his job at an all time low.
We are then catapulted onto his bus, where we began to meet character after character, all with different stories, some that made my heart squeeze. The great thing was the actual journey, that started out a certain way, and quickly took a twist, and continued that way with stories and surprises being unfolded as you went (I’ll admit I showed my pure stupidity early in the book as I went ‘did that really happen?’).
All in all a very smart book that reeled me in and didn’t let go until an ending that had me nodding, content and satisfied. Thanks so much to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review.
